Terms of use

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Tracema, Melbourne, Victoria — a free, independent project run by one person, contactable at hello@tracema.com ("we") — for using Upkeep at upkeep.tracema.com. We've kept them short and plain. By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. What Upkeep is — and isn't

Upkeep is a place to keep your own health and fitness record: what you eat, how you move, how you rest, how your body is doing, your appointments and your notes.

  • It is not medical advice. Upkeep never diagnoses, suggests causes, or tells you what to do. Anything you see in it, including charts and side-by-side views, is simply your own record shown back to you.
  • It is not for emergencies. If you need urgent help, call 000.
  • It doesn't replace your doctor, or any advice a health professional gives you. Upkeep isn't connected to your doctor's or hospital's systems.

2. Who can use it

You need to be 18 or over, and able to agree to these terms.

3. Your account

  • Keep access to your email and Google account secure, because that's how you sign in.
  • You stay signed in for up to 7 days, so sign out on shared or borrowed devices.
  • Tell us at hello@tracema.com if you think someone else has got into your account.

4. Your record is yours

  • Everything you put into Upkeep belongs to you. We only store it, show it to you, and keep it safe, so the service works. We never sell it, share it for marketing, or use it to train AI. Our Privacy policy has the details.
  • You're responsible for what you enter, and for checking it's right before you rely on it, for example when filling in a form.
  • If you add details about other people (an emergency contact, family history), make sure you're comfortable that they'd be happy for you to keep them.

5. No backups — keep your own copy

Upkeep runs on free plans that don't include backups. If something is lost, we can't restore it. Use Download everything regularly if your record matters to you.

6. Using Upkeep fairly

Please don't:

  • try to get into anyone else's account or information;
  • try to break, overload or get around Upkeep's security;
  • use automated tools to copy or flood the service;
  • use Upkeep for anything unlawful.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to download your record.

7. Free, and as it is

  • Upkeep is free to use. If we ever add paid features, we'll tell you first. You'll always be able to download your record.
  • Upkeep is built and maintained by one person. We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or never lose information.
  • Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

8. Responsibility

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.

Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for:

  • decisions made using information in Upkeep;
  • loss of information, which is why §5 matters;
  • indirect losses, or problems caused by services outside our control.

9. Ending

  • You can stop using Upkeep and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • If Upkeep ever closes, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice by email so you can download everything.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Upkeep after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
